Ghostery is an extension for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Safari browsers that prevents the collection of personal information about the user. It will be useful for those people who care about the confidentiality of their personal data.

The addition will save the user from fraudulent and phishing sites, as well as from those resources that collect information on a "legal" basis. After all, it is no secret that modern search engines constantly monitor your preferences and habits when using the network. Based on this data, the user is shown the "right" advertising. It is for those who want to remain "invisible" and there is a Ghostery. The add-on detects all "beacons" located on web pages and blocks them. The addition is completely free and allows you to create lists of "unwanted" resources.

- is available for all popular web browsers;

- automatically detects "channels" of information leakage;

- works in the background;

- has a rich window of settings;

- makes detailed logs of the work done.

The extension works really well although you can't really tell the full extent to which it works because most of the work happens behind the UI. Also, be mindful that sometimes you might get blocked functionalities with some websites because I think it blocks certain required cookies. Not bad overall.
