Orbitron is a satellite tracking system that was designed for radio amateur and observing purposes. Orbitron is also used by weather professionals, satellite communication users, astronomers, UFO hobbyists and even astrologers. The application shows the positions of satellites at any given moment (in real or simulated time), using the NORAD SGP4/SDP4 prediction models and orbital data loaded from TLE files. It is free (Cardware): the author asks users who like it to send him a postcard. Orbitron can track up to 20,000 satellites at the same time, follows the Sun and Moon, searches for passes and Iridium flares, and can control antenna rotors and radios. The last version was released in 2005 and the program is no longer developed.
