Time and again there is always a time to look back on certain video games from a past era. Though the harsh reality behind it all is that not everybody is capable of paying a premium price just to play those past generation games - in this case, the classic PS3. Gone now is the inconvenience of searching certain video game titles and paying a considerable amount of money for them. With this console emulator, appropriately called "RPCS3," having a physical PS3 console is no longer necessary.

One of the main features that make RPCS3 convenient is the sheer fact that it is a form of freeware type of download.

Another main feature of the RPCS3 is the fact that it's free. No purchase necessary. The developers of this emulator somehow managed to tinker with the inner workings of the PS3 and transfer it in such a way that you can now play PS3 games WITHOUT the necessary console.

Play PS3 games on your own Windows computer

Another main feature of the RPCS3 is that it can serve as an archive of video gamers for fellow gamers. There are some individuals out there who may have missed out on the previous generation console's offerings. RPCS3 can simply provide this experience to those who have missed the train the first time.

Lastly is that another feature of the RPCS3 is that despite it still being new, the developers are hard to work on maintaining and improving this product through fixes, and progress reports. The quality and reliability of RPCS3 will only improve from here on end.

With its ever-improving design and updates from the developers, RPCS3 is definitely a really good way to play video games of past generations. That and since it's free, who's complaining?

RPCS3 is a completely free PS3 emulator software. This software only supports the Windows operating system. Although it is true that there are a lot of games out there, some of them are PlayStation exclusive. Thus, you can not play the games on any device other than the PlayStation device itself.

This often creates a barrier among the gamers who want to play those games, but you do not need to confine yourselves to that barrier anymore if you start using RPCS3.

RPCS3 is a completely free tool, and it does not even have any in-app purchase feature. That means you can play any PS3 game directly on your computer without paying for it in any way. This tool also serves as an archive of video gamers.

RPCS3 is an open-source project. Anyone can check the project, and contribute to enhancing the software even more. It also has an official dedicated forum where the developers and players collaborate with each other. If you face any problem using this tool, then you might find their solution in the forum most often.

As RPCS3 is an emulator, a good computer is necessary for a good experience in gaming. It does not support all the games, but you can check the compatibility of individual games directly on the official forum.

Users shouldn't change the resolution setting for 99% of games, as it can break things and cause a performance loss. The tool-tip says to leave it on 1280x720 for a reason. If you want to increase resolution use Resolution Scaling instead. Resolution Scale Threshold should be left at the default setting of 16x16 for most games as well, it's only needed to fix issues with Resolution Scaling in a couple games e.g Drakengard 3 or Asura's Wrath which require a value of around 512x512 to fix a small visual bug when using resolution scaling.

I recently used the RPCS3 emulator to play some PS3 games. The overall experience was quite smooth and lag-free. The user interface is quite intuitive and I was able to get up and running in no time. FPS is quite stable and I never encountered any hiccups during my gaming session. The graphics are also quite impressive and the emulation is quite accurate. The sound is also quite good and I never encountered any issues. I also appreciate the fact that the developers are continuously working to improve the system and bring more games to the emulator. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with my experience with the RPCS3.

The software allows users to play PlayStation 3 games on their PC, but it requires a powerful computer to run smoothly. Some games may have compatibility issues or glitches, but overall it is a promising emulator.
