SideSync

SideSync is Samsung's official program for managing Galaxy series handheld devices from a computer. It is able to "broadcast" the screen of a smartphone or tablet, is used to share files, and also allows you to work with the device using the keyboard and mouse. Using the periphery of your computer, you can answer messages and calls, work with installed applications, receive the device's notifications on the PC, and so on.

To start working with the program, it is necessary to set up a connection between a computer and a portable device. First, install the SideSync mobile app on your smartphone or tablet, which was offered in the Play Store and in Samsung Galaxy Apps. If the app is not offered for your model, the device is not supported by SideSync. After that, open SideSync on the mobile device and on the PC. For a Wi-Fi connection, both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network; alternatively, a USB cable can be used to connect the device. The PC program can start automatically when you log on and reconnect to a device that was connected before.

When exchanging data between your computer and portable device, the SideSync desktop client offers you a convenient manager and the ability to transfer files by "drag and drop". Received files and captured images are saved to a folder you choose on the PC. In the settings you can choose the default window (dashboard, mirrored screen, or keyboard and mouse sharing), set the resolution of the mirrored screen and block notifications from selected apps. Samsung shut down SideSync on October 15, 2019 and recommends Samsung Flow instead.

SideSync allows seamless synchronization and control of Samsung Galaxy devices via PC, enabling file sharing and management with computer peripherals.
