SmartFTP is a very convenient FTP client for secure and efficient file exchange between the local computer and the server on the Internet. SmartFTP can work with FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV, S3, Google Drive, OneDrive, SSH and Terminal protocols.

The program has a modern multi-language interface, compatible with high DPI values in Windows. The program handles batch processing of files, task queue management, scripting, file and directory synchronization, automatic reconnection in case of breaks and file downloading. SmartFTP also supports IPv6 technology.

- on-the-fly file compression increases the transfer rate. Now you don't need to archive the files before you transfer them;

- UTF-8 text format support;

- Multiple connections and automatic disconnection in the event of an interruption of the connection, resuming the interrupted transfer of files;

- Verification of the transfer success by checking the checksums;

- Proxy support: SOCKS5, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, HTTP Proxy, Wingate, Winproxy, CSM, Checkpoint FW-1, Raptor

I love using SmartFTP for Windows and do so regularly since it's a tool that lets me easily move my files from my local PC over to any server on the web. The transfers are not only reliable but also sufficiently secure and efficient that I don't worry at all about what's going to happen to the data that those files are carrying.

I am always skeptical these days when I hear the word “FTP”. Working in the cybersecurity field over the last decade as allowed me to better understand how the transfer of information works and where vulnerabilities can be found. The fact that Smart FTP has sFTP protocol gives me comfort, but I do believe that regular FTP should be outlawed. The product is feature heavy which from a users perspective is very attractive and I’m sure provides a ton of functionality. I would just challenge the software provider to stress the security side equally.
