USB Redirector

The ability to access any USB device remotely, over the Internet or a LAN, is what USB Redirector from IncentivesPro (a division of SimplyCore LLC) gives its users. To use it, install the program on the computer that will act as the USB server, the one where the devices are physically attached, and make the necessary settings. First, share the USB device you want to use remotely, so that it becomes available to the client computers on the network.

Next, install the program or the free USB Redirector Client on the computers from which you want to use the device remotely, and add the IP address of the computer that acts as the server. To complete the setup and start working, select the desired USB device in the list of available remote devices and connect it with the corresponding button. The device then appears in Windows on the client PC as if it were plugged in locally, while it cannot be used on the server itself until it is unshared. USB Redirector runs as a background service, so shared devices stay available after a reboot and when no user is logged in.
