WinGPG from Scand is a graphical shell for GnuPG, the free implementation of the OpenPGP standard. It lets Windows users encrypt and decrypt files and messages, sign them and verify signatures without typing commands. The program sits in the system tray and adds commands to the Explorer context menu, so files can be processed right where they are stored.

Makes GnuPG encryption usable without the command line.

Keys are created, imported and exported in a key manager, and a document can be encrypted for several recipients at once. Clipboard text can be encrypted or decrypted directly, which is handy for email and chat messages, and encrypted output is compressed. WinGPG works with the GnuPG installation on the computer and comes as a regular and a portable version.

Features:

  • Encrypt, decrypt and sign files and clipboard text
  • Key manager for creating, importing and exporting keys
  • Encryption for several recipients at once
  • Explorer context menu and tray icon
  • Works with the installed GnuPG
  • Regular and portable versions
