Baidu WiFi Hotspot

Baidu WiFi Hotspot is a program that allows users to create their own hotspots off of their networks with ease. It essentially works to allow you to make your wireless network right from your own computer or laptop device. It is very simple and intuitive in its processing and is also free. It shares the internet connection of the PC through its Wi-Fi adapter, so a wireless network adapter is required; without one the program reports that it cannot create a hotspot. A hotspot is started in one click, and phones, tablets and other laptops can then connect to it like to a regular wireless router.

In the settings you can choose the internet sharing mode (ICS or NAT, where NAT is supported only on some systems), enable a reminder when a new device connects to the hotspot and set the folder where files transferred from a connected phone will be saved. Unlike the built-in hotspot of many phones, which is limited to a few clients, this application lets several devices connect to your hotspot at the same time. Baidu WiFi Hotspot is a small download and runs in a compact window that shows the hotspot name, the password and the list of connected devices. It lets users share the connection of their PC with numerous devices at once. The program was released by Baidu as part of its PC Faster family of utilities and is distributed as freeware. It is no longer developed: the last version is 5.1.4, released in 2015, and the product website is offline, so it is best suited to older Windows systems where the software still works. Windows 10 and 11 also include a built-in Mobile hotspot feature that covers the same basic task without any extra software being installed.
