ExifTool is a platform-independent tool for reading, writing and editing metadata contained in images, audio and video. The application does not have an interface and works through the command line. However, there is an easy way to view the metadata - just drag the media file to the ExifTool executable icon.
ExifTool supports many different types of metadata including EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, JFIF, GeoTIFF, ICC Profile, Photoshop IRB, FlashPix, AFCP and ID3. The program is also compatible with data recorded in files by digital camera manufacturers.
