Google Talk is the equivalent of ICQ from Google. In addition to communication via text messages, the program provides the possibility to "call" the person you are talking to and to communicate with your voice.

Google hangouts has long since superceded this now derelict, unsupported chat app. There is no reason to download this program unless you are simply going to pick it apart as a learning experience for programming.

Google Talk is a messenger used to chat and voice call with another person. I used it before and it worked great however, this chat app is no longer being supported.
