SoftEther VPN is a program that connects to virtual networks (VPNs). It consists of client and server parts and supports all popular protocols: IPsec, EtherIP, OpenVPN, MS-STTP, L2TP, and L2TPv3. When creating tunnels, reliable connection security algorithms are used, in particular, the program supports AES 256-bit and RSA 4096-bit encryption.
Those who are not interested in organizing their own VPN and want to use the program as a network anonymization solution will have to look up public server addresses. Earlier versions of SoftEther VPN used its own plugin with open virtual networks, but later the developer removed it from the standard "set". On the other hand, the tool for checking the list of added servers for availability and loadedness hasn't gone anywhere.
Initially the program was conceived as an alternative to OpenVPN, but thanks to an active community it has become a multifunctional solution that can be used to build corporate networks. This was mainly due to the fact that SoftEther VPN works without conflicting with the corporate firewall and provides a high level of security for the data being transmitted. In addition, the program supports dynamic DNS and NAT Traversal protocol.
Download and use SoftEther VPN for home and commercial use is allowed absolutely free of charge. In addition, on the official website of the program anyone can read its source code.
