Logisim for Windows is a learning tool for students to assist in learning the basics of creating circuits and electrical design. This software is free and quickly downloads. This software makes it easy to create your own circuits.

There are many different tools and views that make this a great way to learn. You can use the wiring tool to draw horizontal or verticle wires and have them connect to the other wires in your circuit. The combinational analysis module lets you convert between circuits. You can copy smaller circuits that you have already created and place them inside of a bigger circuit rather than having to recreate the smaller circuit over and over again. There are components within the software that color code the wires so you can easily see what is what along with there being components for inputs and outputs. Basically, anything you would need to create a real circuit has been thought of and included in this software. It is like creating an actual circuit but so much harder to mess up.

You are able to save your work and can either submit it electronically or print it out to turn it into your professor to show what you are able to create. Many colleges have been using this in their classrooms as a way to teach their students. Odds are if you are going to be going into the electrical design you will be getting very familiar with Logisim. Did I mention it is free? That is such a great perk, it is not very often that you find a great educational tool and it is not going to cost you any money.

This is a great learning tool that is simple to work on and manipulate in order to see how circuits work.

This is a trusted tool that is being used across the country.  So what do you have to lose, go ahead and try it already?

Java 5 or later is required to run Logisim.

Logisim is an educational software. People use this application to learn the circuit and logic board mechanism as simulation.

This is a completely free tool. It gives unlimited access to any user. It allows the users to easily design and simulate the digital logic circuits. It also offers a straightforward and user-friendly interface.

However, the simulation options are currently limited. This application requires Java to run. Also, it works only on the Windows operating system. It does not support the advanced digital circuits.

Logisim is an instructive apparatus for structuring and recreating computerized rationale circuits. With its straightforward toolbar interface and reproduction of circuits as they are constructed, it is basic enough to encourage learning the most essential ideas identified with rationale circuits. With the ability to manufacture bigger circuits from littler subcircuits, and to draw groups of wires with a solitary mouse drag, Logisim can be utilized (and is utilized) to structure and mimic whole CPUs for instructive purposes.

I use this app for my son. He's still in middle school, but he is interested in learning about engineering. I got him Logisim so he can learn about electrical circuits. He plays it all the time, and next semester, I convinced his science teacher to use it the classroom. It's a great tool for anybody interested learning more about engineering and electricity.

Logisim for Windows is a way for you to create your own graphs and templete. Even though I am not the beggest fan of art, I can still find a use to this. It can be used to plan a building as its primary use is to plan the electrical circuits for a house. I think this is a good software for builders or engineers who go through the trouble of planning houses on a daily basis and I think that it would increase their productivity rate thus the app may save them a lot of time.

Logisim for windows has to be one of my all-time favorite programs, or I suppose it could be called a tool. It lets you design digital circuits and works using color-coded wires. This would help in so many circumstances where you would need to rewire something! I give this an A plus all around!

If you're interested in learning the ins and outs of logic circuits, then Logism is the tool for you! This program is an educational one and it familiarizes students with electrical design and shows you the fundamentals of how logic circuits work. The coolest feature is the model that lets you convert circuits yourself since that is a great opportunity to learn in a hands-on way.
