MMSSTV Software

MMSSTV (MMS Sound & Television) is a popular amateur radio software application for receiving and transmitting slow scan television (SSTV) signals. It is widely used for exchanging images over shortwave radio. MMSSTV was originally created by Makoto Mori, JE3HHT, and is now maintained by several developers.

MMSSTV allows users to easily send and receive pictures and audio over amateur radio.

MMSSTV offers a variety of features for SSTV enthusiasts. It supports a wide range of SSTV modes, including Robot 36, Robot 72, Scottie DX, Martin M2, and more. The software also allows users to receive and transmit SSTV images from the computer’s sound card.

MMSSTV also offers a number of image processing tools. It can crop, rotate, resize, and enhance images before they are transmitted. The software also supports grayscale and color images.

In addition, MMSSTV can store SSTV images in its internal database. This feature allows users to quickly access and compare images. It also makes it easier to organize and catalog images.

The software also includes a graphical interface for adjusting SSTV parameters. This allows users to easily adjust parameters such as frequency, bandwidth, and modulation type.

MMSSTV also has a built-in frequency scanner. This allows users to quickly scan the radio spectrum and identify active SSTV signals.

Lastly, MMSSTV is highly customizable. It allows users to customize the appearance of the software and create their own custom settings.

Overall, MMSSTV is a powerful and feature-rich software application for receiving and transmitting SSTV signals. It is an excellent choice for SSTV enthusiasts who are looking for a reliable and easy-to-use application.

I recently started using the MMSSTV software and it's been a great experience. It's user friendly and easy to set up, and the program is full of features. I love the fact that I can save my settings, so I don't have to reconfigure it every time I use it. The sound quality is also quite good and it works well with my setup. The only downside I've found is the limited selection of sound effects available. All in all, it's a great program and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it.

MMSSTV is an ok software, however I've found it can be a bit buggy at times and can be unreliable for recieving weak signals.
