NetSurveyor is a free, slick Networking Software. Looking at some of the pictures, it looks very outdated and doesn't seem to be user-friendly unless you already really know what you're doing with the software. It does have an included demo mode which can be used even if you don't have a wireless adapter attached to the computer it can still be used. The grid inside the software updates constantly including 6 graphical diagnostic views.
It also generates a PDF document including all of the access points and their properties. It also includes a troubleshooter to troubleshoot existing networks and wireless environments that are performing poorly.

NetSurveyor for Windows is such a useful tool. I use it to manage my wifi and detect nearby wifi. It displays data in colorful graphs. For the visual artist in me, this is super cool. I can see what's going on visually and it's not just a bunch of numbers. I can also generate the files in .pdf format with the graphs. So excited I downloaded this free software.
