Surely everybody knows the situation when your favorite playlists have been listened to so many times that you want to somehow refresh and diversify your musical preferences. And there are a lot of people thinking about good old-fashioned radio. PC-RADIO is a free Windows player that brings popular online radio stations to your desktop.

The application uses an active Internet connection to play music of different genres: rock, metal, rap, club and dance songs, news and much more. Stations can be filtered by genre and country, and your favorite ones can be saved to a separate list. PC-RADIO can be listened to even at relatively low data transfer rates (including EDGE, 2G, 3G and satellite internet): the program preserves high sound quality while consuming minimal traffic. The list of radio stations is updated automatically when the program starts. The player also offers an equalizer, recording of broadcasts split into tracks, an alarm clock and a sleep timer, interchangeable skins and proxy settings; some skins and extras belong to a paid Premium option. The official PCRADIO site now offers only its web player and mobile apps; the last Windows release is 6.0.2.
