Smart Phone Flash Tool

Smart Phone Flash Tool is a completely free program that allows you to "flash" Android devices based on MTK (MediaTek) chips. In particular, it works with the following chips: MT6589, MT6589T, MT6577T, MT6575, MT6577, MT6582, MT6589M, MT6592 and MT6572. Usually these are used in devices of budget and average price segments from Lenovo, Oppo, Zopo and other manufacturers. We highly recommend that those who have no experience of installing new firmware versions do not work with the program. This is a rather complicated process with a lot of nuances, not following which can lead to serious problems in the work of the device (and even turn it into a "brick"). Even if you are confident, we strongly recommend that you back up all data stored on your smartphone/tablet.

To flash a ROM, you load the scatter file of the firmware, and the program lists the partition images with their begin and end addresses, so you can tick only the parts you want to write. The Smart Phone Flash Tool also includes a memory testing tool. Advanced users can use the Format tab to erase the whole flash or everything except the bootloader, read back partitions to the PC with Readback, and change some device parameters. Before using Smart Phone Flash Tool, you must install the MediaTek USB VCOM drivers so that the computer can recognize the connected device. The device must be switched off and connected by USB when the download starts. Progress, transfer speed and errors are shown in the status bar during the process.
