Super Fdisk is a free utility for working with IDE/ATA/SATA/SCSI hard disk partitions in MS DOS and FreeDOS systems. It is no longer developed: its startup window points users to EASEUS Partition Manager, the Windows successor.
The program allows you to create and delete primary, extended and logical partitions. The application can hide and unhide FAT, NTFS/HPFS, EXT2, EXT3 and SWAP partitions, and it formats FAT partitions. When creating a new partition, you can set the partition type, file system (FAT or FAT32), volume label and size. The program also allows you to create bootable floppy disks and optical disks (only CDs are supported), which are used in case of operating system failure.
Additionally, Super Fdisk offers a Delete and Secure Erase option that destroys the data of a removed partition, so it cannot be restored even with specialized software. It also allows you to view full information about your hard drives, including their characteristics. In addition, Super Fdisk has the functions of activating and deactivating partitions, showing the partition table, backing up and restoring the boot sector, partition table and master boot record (MBR), and erasing the MBR.
Super Fdisk lets you manage hard disk partitions from a bootable floppy disk or CD, even when the installed operating system cannot start.
