XperiFirm Tool

This is a firmware downloader for Sony Xperia smartphones, tablets and accessories. XperiFirm is a free tool by Igor Eisberg that fetches official stock firmware directly from Sony's update servers. With XperiFirm Tool, you can search and download firmware for your device in one spot without hassle.

It downloads official stock firmware for Xperia devices directly from Sony, with resumable downloads and automatic unpacking.

How this application works is that it queries Sony's servers for the firmware available for each model. You select your device and then its CDA, the software customization for a market or operator, and XperiFirm shows the latest firmware release for it. Firmware availability depends on what Sony keeps on its servers: usually only the latest release per customization is offered, older firmware cannot be downloaded, and models released before 2013 are no longer listed. The tool runs on Windows with the .NET Framework, and on Linux and macOS through Mono. Proxy settings are available for networks that need them, and the raw download links of a firmware can be copied to the clipboard. For each customization the list shows its market, operator and latest firmware version, and the Check All button refreshes the latest releases of a whole model. Unfortunately, XperiFirm will not install the downloaded files for you; flashing firmware onto a device requires a separate tool. The program is still maintained by its author, who publishes new versions only in his XDA Forums thread.
