Bred 3.0.3 - text editor, designed to replace the standard Windows notebook. The application allows you to work with text documents in two-panel mode, supports ANSI, KOI8, OEM, UNICODE encodings and can instantly convert text from one encoding to another. Supports line breaks, syntax highlighting, text search and replacement, undo and repeat actions. Bred can associate itself with the most common document formats (TXT, HTML, BAT, REG, etc.) and run automatically when trying to open such files. With Bred, the user can quickly insert the current date and time into the text. The program toolbar is configurable.

Bred3 software enables users to quickly and efficiently manage text documents in multiple encodings, with additional features like syntax highlighting and search and replace.

Bred3 software seems it was made for someone with a homemade computer or a computer on an operating system other than Mac or Windows, who needs a smart word processing application. I like that there is the ability to have two documents open side by side, which would be important if you are cross referencing two documents. I realize this was probably made with coders in mind, but it would be useful for teachers and students as well.

Why would I want to replace windows notebook? Microsoft office is god. The end all, be all. Get the fuck out of here.
