IVONA, however, doesn't just read the text of popular software applications, it integrates with the software to offer features a simple reader doesn't: like proofreading, organizer and reminders. You can also save the spoken text to an Mp3 file so you can listen in the car or on a portable player. It was made by Ivona Software, a Polish company acquired by Amazon in 2013. The Windows reader is no longer developed or sold, and IVONA voice technology now lives on in the Amazon Polly cloud service.
