MobaXterm

MobaXterm is a program designed for remote administration of computers and servers over the network. With its help, advanced users and system administrators can perform almost any operation with remote systems. The terminal integrated into the program allows to execute Unix commands such as ls, grep, awk, sed and rsync, as well as Bash shell scripts. MobaXterm also includes a MultiExec tool that runs the same commands on multiple servers simultaneously.

For convenient administration of a large number of machines, the program provides a convenient tab interface and session manager. The main window of the program can be split to work with two or four terminals simultaneously. It also provides a huge number of other parameters of the main window appearance, session menu and open terminals. Every session you start is saved automatically and shown in the left sidebar, where sessions can be grouped into folders and started again with a double click.

Connection to remote computers and servers is carried out via SSH, Telnet, Rlogin, RDP, VNC, XDMCP, FTP, SFTP, Mosh and serial ports. When creating a connection, MobaXterm opens an extensive window with session settings. There, users can configure the host, user name, SSH gateway (jump host), X11 forwarding and other options. After an SSH login, a graphical SFTP browser opens in the sidebar for drag-and-drop file transfers.

Among the important features of the program, it is worth noting the built-in X11 server, plugins support and the availability of a portable version. The free Home Edition is limited to 12 sessions, 2 SSH tunnels and 4 macros, while the paid Professional Edition removes these limits.
