multiMAN

multiMAN is a free homebrew backup manager for PlayStation 3 consoles running custom firmware (CFW), developed by deank. It is installed on the PlayStation 3 as a PKG file and is one of the best-known apps on the PS3 homebrew scene, combining a game backup manager, a file manager, an FTP server and a media center in a single application. Because it runs on the console itself, all of its functions are used with the PS3 controller on the TV screen.

Features:

• The ability to back up and copy PlayStation 3 games: multiMAN lets you run backed up PS3 games from the internal hard drive or from external USB storage. With the multiMAN app you can copy games between the internal and external drives and start any backup from one menu, without switching between different tools.
• The ability to delete backups from your hard drive: Backups you no longer need can be removed from the drive at any time to free up space. The built-in file manager also lets you manage files on internal and external storage, with a picture viewer and a music player, and the app offers some support for NTFS-formatted drives.
• Customize the look of multiMAN: The appearance is highly customizable. You can download and apply themes, switch between several layouts, including a desktop-style mode, and install add-ons to personalize the interface the way you like. The multiMAN theme menu lists the available themes and downloads the selected one directly to the console.
• Updates and extra tools: multiMAN can update itself with its online updater. It includes an FTP server for copying games to the console over the local network, albeit slowly, can launch other homebrew applications directly, and bundles the Showtime media player for videos and music. The last official release, 04.85.01, added support for CFW 4.83 to 4.85 and improved PS3HEN support.
