Timer Resolution is an interesting little program for windows that allows the user to tweak their computer's resolution so they can perform better in games. When it comes to playing computer games I think it's safe to say that it is a serious business. There are only two things that the majority of gamers complain about. The first one being latency and the second is FPS drops. If you don't know what FPS means. It's frames per second, which is a measurement of how many consecutive images a screen can handle each and every second.

Turns out that our computer monitors can drastically affect the quality of our games. It can cause drastic FPS drops which make our favorite games look like a picture book. Think of watching a movie in a theater and the picture skips repeatedly. That is what the average gamer experiences when they get an FPS drop. Timer Resolution allows the user to change the resolution of the default windows timer. This helps improve the gaming experience dramatically regardless of the game you are playing. Most people will notice the difference in first person shooters than any other game. The reason being is that first-person shooter games have the player constantly shifting their field of view. As great and simple as this program sounds I have to warn you. This will take a little getting used to and I can't recommend it to someone that has never played with the resolution before. The learning curve can be steep but once you get the hang of it the program will take care of the rest.
