AeroAdmin is a free remote desktop solution for consumers and businesses seeking a remote desktop solution that can be setup quickly. It is compatible with many versions of Windows and can be installed from a portable storage drive. There is even a file transfer feature that allows sharing between the two devices. When connecting, instead of using remote control, you can select file manager and manage the shared files between the two connections. This is useful because it keeps everything organized and in one place, rather than having to sort through the connection log to find a file. There is an auto setting for performance based on the connection's available speed and quality, so if you're on DSL with only 1MBPS up, the software will adjust accordingly. Unfortunately, the free version limits connection time, with a preset amount of hours that can be used every month. Also, remote printing is currently unsupported by the latest release. There isn't a chat feature, but with free programs like Slack (or even e-mail), this isn't really that big of a deal. Also, you cannot switch between view-only and full remote during a remote session - you have to log out and then reconnect to make the change. For those looking for only a couple minutes of remote desktop connectivity at a time, AeroAdmin is a viable solution that offers spontaneous support for minimal cost.
