AutoTune

AutoTune is a very useful application from AnalogX that allows you to automatically tune all audio samples to the same frequency. It should not be confused with Antares Auto-Tune, the commercial vocal pitch-correction plug-in.

Remember how many sleepless nights you had to sit behind a typical audio editor to manually adjust all samples to the key of your song? And you may have had to do it again after you exchanged samples with a friend who tunes his sounds to A while you use C...

Well, then AutoTune is exactly what you need, because now you can perform all the routine actions automatically: just enter the base note, such as C3, and drag your samples onto the program window.

AutoTune tunes a whole set of WAV samples to one base note automatically, saving the time of adjusting each sample by hand.

AutoTune can automatically analyze sound samples in frequency space and change their pitch, allowing you to tune them to each other.

This product supports working with entire folders, not just selected files: drag a directory onto the window and every sample in it is processed.

It should be noted that the program has a simple single-window interface that even an inexperienced user can deal with. Other benefits of the application include support for dragging and dropping files from Explorer and a log window that reports what the program is doing.

After starting the tuning process, it will take some time for the program to process the data, because the frequency analysis is computationally intensive. You can do your own business by minimizing the application to the taskbar.

AutoTune is also fairly memory hungry: to process a single average-size file the program uses about 6-8 megabytes of RAM, so the more free memory is available, the faster it will work.

It should also be emphasized that AutoTune supports mono and stereo WAV files, 8 / 16 / 24 / 32 bits (MS and IEEE), and can also normalize samples, correct DC offset and convert the sample rate, channel count and sample depth. The latest version is 2.31, and it officially runs on Windows 95 through Windows 7.
