DFX Audio Enhancer is a program that allows you to improve the quality of sound played on your computer. Earlier versions of DFX Audio Enhancer worked as plug-ins for a list of supported applications, from web browsers to media players, including Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Chrome, Windows Media Player, Winamp, VLC media player, BS.Player, GOM Player, foobar2000, iTunes, etc., while later releases process all sound played on the PC. After installation, audio tuning options become available - you can adjust Fidelity, Ambience, 3D Surround, Dynamic Boost and Bass, use a 9-band equalizer and presets, as well as view the audio spectrum. The program allows you to optimize sound playback in headphones, save your own presets, improve sound during voice calls via Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger, and when playing Angry Birds, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Diablo, The Sims, Madden NFL, etc. DFX has since been renamed FxSound, which is now free and open source.
DFX Audio Enhancer significantly improves the sound quality of your computer, providing better clarity and deeper bass across all supported applications.
