NullDC

NullDC is an Open Source Sega Dreamcast and NAOMI Emulator for Windows Operating Systems.  NullDC requires DirectX 9.0c, Visual C++ runtime libraries and you have the option to utilize WinPcap for modem emulation.  Dreamcast BIOS files are also needed.  Gamepads are handled by input plugins such as PuruPuru, so it is worth checking the controller plugin settings before you start playing. NullDC uses plugins with several implementations for graphics, reading burned CD-Rom games, sound, and disk image files or memory cards.  NullDC supports the ability to load different plugins for different emulator elements as well, which means you can, for example, show the small LCD screen of the VMU memory card on your PC screen.  

NullDC is a powerful emulation tool for those wanting to experience the older games of the Sega Dreamcast console and the NAOMI arcade system. You need your own game discs or disc images, and you can play them from the comfort of your own personal computer.

NullDC is no longer in development or supported by its developers, who moved on to the reicast project.  However, as it is an open source tool, it still works and remains available to the community.  The source code is archived on GitHub, together with reports on issues that may arise when using this tool.  If you are interested in Dreamcast emulation on Windows, NullDC is still a popular choice.  If you are interested in playing games such as Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur, Dynamite Cop and more, then this emulator is worth a try.  In most cases, the games look sharper than on the original console, as they are rendered at a higher resolution.
