SWF Opener is a program that primarily focuses on reading and playing flash video files. These files are typically designated as shockwave flash files, also referred to as SWF files, and normally cannot be read by a majority of common and available video players. SWF files must be opened using an internet browser that has Adobe shockwave player installed to effectively view and watch. SWF Opener allows a user to open SWF files without an internet connection and does so much more rapidly than the browser interface.

Features:

  • View and watch any SWF file saved on a hard drive or another type of storage device.
  • Save SWF files onto your computer, specifically cached SWF files.
  • The SWF Player has playback control, timeline controller, auto replay, and other tools to improve the viewing experience.
  • Does not require an active internet connection to operate.

SWF Opener is a light and non-intrusive program with the primary intention of playing all and any SWF files. It is user-friendly, it does need the user to adjust the files or to convert it to another format to effectively play the file, simply double click the saved file and the program will open it effortlessly. The program takes no more than 2.5 MB to install on a computer device, which makes lighter than Adobe shockwave player which takes about 5.9 mb. Overall the program can be installed on a variety of windows devices considering it also does not require extensive computer processing power to effectively operate, and it is compatible with Windows OS 98 and above. Considering that the program can be run on older computers, it is more beneficial for computers that suffer from slower internet connections or have less ram memory, as the program is less processing intensive than opening an internet browser to play the same SWF files.

Read and play shockwave files or files saved as SWF, instead of opening it in an internet browser.

Requires at least 1.5 MB of storage space on the computer. Runs on Windows OS only, Windows 98 or higher.
